The Jaw Couplings, commonly referred to as a Spider Coupling, offers a compact solution to your coupling needs. The Jaw Coupling is closely related to the ‘HRC’ Style Coupling and offers many of the same benefits, it:
- Allows for incidental misalignment (1deg max)
- Absorbs shock loads
- Dampens small amplitude vibrations
The added benefit of the Jaw Coupling is its ease of alignment, using just a straight edge and its machined outer diameters, it really couldn’t be easier to fit.
‘HRC’ Style Couplings offer a simple, quick and cost-efficient fitment. The semi-elastic solution can:
- Allow for incidental misalignment (1deg max)
- Absorb shock loads
- Dampen small amplitude vibrations
They are power matched to standard motor sizes, making selection easy and are offered mainly with taper bush fitting for easy mounting.
The coupling consists of two flanges, each with three interlocking "dogs", which are separated by a nitrile rubber element.
** FRAS Elements are also available upon request **
Clamping elements allow for a backlash-free and non-positive connection between round smooth shafts and hubs without key slot.
The clamping elements are clamped via integrated screws which are used for non-destructive untightening of the clamping elements
Clamping Elements can usually be re-used many times, so offer a cost effective, quick and easy alternative to boring and keying mating parts.
They are usually unaffected by vibration and contain no parts that can shear off contaminating goods.
